As a tribute to the impressive and honorable history of the horse, the Phippen Museum once again presents its annual Hold Your Horses! Invitational Exhibition and Sale, dedicated to the loyal and hardworking horse. This is an annual fundraising effort at the Phippen Museum, and we encourage collectors to come see these fine examples of traditional and contemporary western art that focus on the horse. All purchases benefit both the participating artists and the Phippen Museum, allowing us to continue offering art, education, and heritage programs to the community.

We are also honored to feature James Andrews as the 2025 winner of the People’s Choice Award. James won the Hold Your Horses! People’s Choice award for his oil painting titled “Trailside Conversations”.
