Prescott, AZ — The Phippen Museum is delighted to once again host the Arizona Pastel Artists Association for its milestone 10th Annual International Pastel Exhibition & Sale, on view through April 19th, 2026. This vibrant, juried showcase celebrates the luminous beauty of pastel and brings together an extraordinary range of artistic voices from the Southwest and around the world.

Featuring more than 80 outstanding works of fine art, the exhibition highlights pastel’s rich, pure pigments across a broad spectrum of subject matter. Visitors will experience breathtaking figurative works, sweeping landscapes, captivating still lifes, and bold abstract compositions — each demonstrating the remarkable versatility and expressive power of this timeless medium.

A special Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony will take place on March 14th from 11AM to 2PM. Guests will have the opportunity to meet participating artists, celebrate award recipients, and immerse themselves in a welcoming community of creators and collectors. The reception will also include a presentation by contemporary still-life artist Karen Budan, along with a luncheon and awards ceremony. This event is open to the public and free of charge.

The Arizona Pastel Artists Association (APAA) is an international community representing artists from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Dedicated to inspiring and supporting artists at every stage of their journey, APAA offers public demonstrations, workshops, juried exhibitions, plein air events, and online programming. Its membership includes nationally recognized artists, emerging talents, hobbyists, and beginners — all united by a passion for pastel’s radiant color and expressive possibilities.

Among the exhibition’s highlights is Time Capsules by Patti Arbino, a beautifully rendered still life that captures pastel’s depth and intensity. Prescott-area artists are proudly showcased alongside APAA Signature Members, celebrating both local talent and international excellence in one dynamic presentation.

So come join the Phippen Museum for this colorful and welcoming celebration of fine art — where bold pastel hues, global perspectives, and creative passion come together in an unforgettable visual experience.

A full show catalog is available at phippenartmuseum.org, and additional information about APAA and its artists can be found at apaa.wildapricot.org.
