Posted March 7, 2007The Phippen Museum will present a workshop for kids 6 and up on March, 31, 2007 called, Winner Circles! Sculpted award Medallions. This fun craft workshop will challenge kids to create their own imaginary award then create a bas relief medallion for the winner. It could be for Outstanding Student, World's Best Mom, Number One Brother, or even Grand Champion of the Universe. Their imaginations will run wild. The cost of the Youth Conversation Series is $5 per participant; Museum members are free. Space is limited so registration is recommended. The Winner Circles! Sculpted Award Medallions workshop is part of the Phippen Museum's continuing series of "Youth Art Conversations." These are art classes for young people meant to complement the Museum's exhibits and offer participants a more in-depth and hands-on approach to the typical museum experience. This Art Conversation gives kids the chance to imagine and create their very own award to coincide with our current exhibitWinner's Roundup! This exhibit is a celebration of 32 years of the very best of the Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale. The exhibit runs from February 24 to July 8 at the Phippen Museum.
