Phippen Museum offers special children's activities for Memorial Weekend

Prescott, AZ, The Phippen Museum's 33rd Annual Western Art Show and Sale will be held May 26, 27, and 28, 2007 on the historic Courthouse Plaza in mile-high Prescott, Arizona. The Phippen Museum Western Art Show is Arizona's premier outdoor western art sale. Event hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday & Sunday and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday. Admission is free.

The Phippen Museum will be holding several special art activities for children during Memorial Weekend. The activities will all take place in the gazebo on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Saturday, May 26, 2007:

10:00 am: Design Your Own Bandana, with Joan Kahne

12:00 noon: Cowboy Boot Painting, with Jeanne Mathews

Sunday, May 27, 2007:

10:00 am: Create a Colorful Clay Medallion, with Marcia Painton

12:00 noon: Watercolor Techniques, with Christine Smith

Memorial Day Monday, May 28, 2007

10:00 am: Discover the Art of Scratchboard, with Joseph Robertson

No pre-registration is required. The cost is $5.00 per child for each activity. Activities are limited to a total of 15 participants.

The Phippen Museum is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit with the mission of perpetuating the unique heritage, mythology and influence of American Western Art. The Museum opened in 1984 and was named after Arizona resident and founding member of the Cowboy Artists of America, George Phippen.
