The Phippen Museum offers Art Demonstration and Book Signing

Posted March 29, 2007

On Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 2:30pm the Phippen Museum will present an Art Demonstration and Book Signing with accomplished local artist Bonnie Casey. Bonnie is one of 30 artists featured in the new book, Finding Your Visual Voice, by Dakota Mitchell. Bonnie is a traditionally trained artist who has won many awards. She describes herself as a colorist who paints the Southwest as she feels it with great rhythm and style. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors and students; Museum Members and kids under 12 are free.

No two artists are alike and this new book, published by North Light Books, helps artists discover their own individual style. Finding Your Visual Voice allows artists to tap their potential with insights from 30 accomplished painters, including Bonnie Casey, with demonstrations and a visual index at the end of each chapter designed to direct the readers to the style of art they want to create.

The Phippen Museum is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit with the mission to preserve and exhibit museum quality Western art and educate the public about the unique heritage, history, legends and influence of art of the American West. The Museum opened in 1984 and was named after Arizona resident and founding member of the Cowboy Artists of America, George Phippen. The Museum is located just minutes from down town Prescott, at 4701 Highway 89 North. For additional information please call (928) 778-1385 or visit our website at www.phippenartmuseum.org.
