Phippen Family speaks about George Phippen for Museum 25th Anniversary

Saturday, July 4 at 1 p.m.

The Sons of George Phippen will be sharing memories of their Father at the Phippen Museum on Saturday July 4, 2009 at 1 p.m. This lecture is presented as part of the Phippen Museum’s on-going 25th Anniversary Celebration. Admission to the lecture is free with your paid Museum admission.

The Phippen Family will share stories and anecdotes about George, his life and his career, as part of the Phippen Museum’s Remembering George exhibit. This exhibit features the works of George Phippen side by side with the many Western Artists he knew and inspired over the years. Remembering George runs through July 26.

The Phippen Museum opened twenty-five years ago in 1984 and was named after Prescott resident and founding member of the Cowboy Artists of America, George Phippen. The Museum’s mission is to preserve and exhibit museum quality Western art, and educate the public about the unique heritage, history, legends, and influence of the art of the American West. Museum admission is $5.00 for adults; $4.00 for seniors, students, and AAA members; children under twelve and Museum Members are free.
