We are gearing up for our 5th Annual Fall Gathering Celebration fundraiser at the Phippen Museum. There are a lot of new and exciting things happening at the Phippen Museum. We have new art acquisitions, and a beautiful new entrance sign. If you haven’t been out to the Museum recently, the annual Fall Gathering Celebration is the perfect opportunity to find out what you have been missing. It will be a very exciting event again this year. We will be raffling off a lovely Bronze by John Coleman; Mike Oden, of the Oden Cattle Company will again have his traditional Chuck Wagon on display; and we will be inducting five new members to our permanent exhibit: The Arizona Rancher and Cowboy Hall of Fame, LLC.
John Coleman, a long time supporter of the Phippen Museum, has generously donated a beautiful Bronze for our Fall Gathering Raffle. The Bronze is of a little Native American girl with her doll, titled Pow Wow Partners. She measures 11.5" h x 7" w x 6" d and currently is priced at $2,200. “She is selling very quickly,” Sue Coleman told us. “The value of that piece may increase before September.”
The Annual Fall Gathering celebration commemorates the original grand opening ceremonies of the Phippen Museum in 1985 with a western barbeque dinner, traditional western music, raffle, and other special events. The 5th Annual Fall Gathering will take place on the evening of Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Phippen Museum. This year’s festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m.
